About ISA High School
Established in 1989 in Austin, Texas, ISA High School (formerly known as Learning Programs International or LPI) is based on the belief that increased knowledge of other cultures through studying and living abroad helps to encourage understanding in our home communities. We believe that international travel and language learning are instrumental in personal growth, and we strive to provide students with the opportunity to have eye-opening experiences.
ISA works closely with accredited foreign universities in addition to resident staff in each program location in order to provide cultural activities, tutoring services, language exchanges, volunteer opportunities, and many opportunities to improve foreign language skills. Through ISA-HS programs, students have options to equip themselves with working knowledge of a second language, or in some programs, take courses in English. Students earn college credit, experience another culture and explore the area around their host city through both daytime and overnight cultural excursions.
The ISA High School blog serves as a platform so that students can share their experiences abroad with friends and family back home and also for readers to learn more about ISA High School and its programs. Through stories, photos, and other media readers will have access to first-hand insight on what it’s like to study abroad. Check back regularly to discover the latest ISA High School news and updates from our students abroad!
