Discovering Segovia, Spain
The most memorable part of our trip had to be our excursion to Segovia. Even though the trip only lasted one day, we got to visit some of the most interesting, authentic sites in all of Spain while participating in a few cultural activities.
Our favorite places in Segovia are Alcazar and the Roman Aqueduct. The aqueduct is super cool because it is so old but still in near perfect condition. We really liked the Alcazar because it is so pretty and it has really interesting historical significance. And it happens to be the castle that inspired the Disney castle, which is wicked sick.
Not only does the city have amazing sites, but it is also a beautiful city in general. We loved how you could see amazing Guadarrama mountain views from almost anywhere in the city. After a small tour of the city, I got to attempt pottery with a Segovian native. It was amazing to watch how comfortable and skilled he was with ceramics. My attempt was not as graceful as his, but I still managed to make a basic pot. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we would love to return to Segovia again.
