Island Under the Southern Italian Sun
Capri is an island filled with nature, beauty, and luxury. It is a truly special place in Italy in which history and modern day technology are harmonious. It is possible to see many famous sites, such as the villa of the Roman Emperor, Tiberius. Another site is a summer house that used to belong to the fascist dictator, Benito Mussolini.
We took a narrow, winding road up to the historical center of Capri, eager to get a look at the chairlift up to the highest point of the island. The ride up the lift provided a scenic journey above the town and the crops being grown on the overlooking hill. After reaching the top of the mountain we were greeted with a 360 degree view of the entire island as well as a cafe to grab a refreshing beverage while we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of the rocky coast and crystal clear sea.
The harbor at Capri was beautiful. People were bustling around and everywhere you looked was stunning. We took a boat tour around the island and we were able to see so much more of the waterfront. We got to see the beautiful cliffs that seemed untouched by the age of time and we also saw multiple statues and famous sights.
