Salt Mines and Chinchero

Editied blog pictures VS

This weekend was very fun in Cusco with my friends from the program. We went to the salt mines – there are over 30,000 of them. (Top right photo) Many of them were used for foods like meats and chocolates. It was a very interesting experience.

After the salt mines we went to Chinchero where the native women showed us how the Incas used certain materials to make different types of clothing using various colors. (Top left photo) It was an action packed weekend that I will never forget.
