With the departure of the Aix 1 students, (the shorter two week program) there were many tears and promises of reunions exchanged. Together we are closer than any family, and although we may not know each other’s favorite colors or middle names, we have been through enough to not need to know those things.
Through heat waves, exploring museums, late nights, early mornings, and numerous lunches; the significance of these people became only greater after realizing how quickly we had gone in and out of each other’s lives. This is the kind of thing you don’t forget.
