Bittersweet Goodbyes

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Aix-en-Provence program students; 2015.

With the program coming to a close, and goodbyes already said and done, the realization that I won’t be able to see these people everyday for a very long time is finally sinking in. It’s not the good kind of sinking like the way you sink into your couch after a long day; it’s the bad kind like the Titanic. I have made some best friends through this program, and some wonderful memories. This ending is bittersweet like most and has created a seal to the promise of long distance friendships-if only I could remember my Skype password.

– The above blog post was contributed by Lea Payette, who studied abroad with ISA High School in Aix-en-Provence, France during the summer of 2015.
