Experiencing Tamarindo

Tamarindo was by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The Diria (beach resort) was perfect after a five hour bus ride, it had good food, clean rooms, and two large pools to enjoy. We relaxed by the beach, watching our fellow teammates surf in the warm, clear water.

On Saturday afternoon, we went on a catamaran to a secret beach and reef. We were able to snorkel, paddleboard, and play around in the water for a few hours. The catamaran was wonderful, complete with fun crewmates and excellent refreshments. We were also fed lunch, and then went back to the shore to watch the sunset. It was a perfect day.

As someone from Santa Cruz, California, seeing the ocean was extremely helpful to cure some of my homesickness. Tamarindo was a little tourist-y, which only added to the charm of the city. Everyone adored Tamarindo!
