Cooking in Costa Rica
Each ISA High School program includes cultural activities throughout the week, in which students have a chance to delve a little deeper into their host culture. Below, an ISA-HS student, Noam, recounts an experience he had learning to cook traditional Tico (Costa Rican) food.
The cooking class that we had today was so much fun! We got to watch and interact while professional chefs cooked a feast for us. They taught us how to make “arroz con pollo” as well as a coconut and sugar cane dessert. Additionally, the chefs showed us how to make a delicious sugar cane, lime, and ginger drink. We learned a lot, had tons of fun, and it was a great experience!
