1. Costa Rica may be small, but it is definitely grand.

With almost 20,000 sq miles, Costa Rica is one small country. Let’s put this into perspective a little better. In the United States, where I live, South Dakota is just around 77,000 sq miles–almost 4 times the size of Costa Rica. Although small, it certainly does not mean the land and the people have anything less to offer the world. Many people can be misinformed about certain Central American countries, thinking that they are all impoverished and worse off that the United States. On the contrary, after living much of my life in South Dakota, I would say Costa Rica contains a richness that cannot not be found anywhere else
